St. John the Baptist Parish Parish is participating together with our Diocese of Pittsburgh and many other Christian people of faith in a spirit of praise and worship to pack one mission Meals of Hope on the day after Thanksgiving. On November 24, instead of filling shopping bags full of stuff, fill your heart with joy and satisfaction. First, we’ll celebrate God’s grace and love with readings, prayers, testimonies of thanks. and glorious music including performances by Duquesne University Alumni, Students, and Friends, Rev. Toni Turner and Rev. John A. Cannon III, and the The Heritage Gospel Chorale of Pittsburgh. Then we’ll pack one million tasty and nutritious Meals of Hope for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. It will be a record. We know it will be a lot of fun—all while providing real help for people in need. Meals of Hope is a national organization whose mission is to bring communities together to end hunger. You need to register for the Amen to Action event by going to their website amentoaction.org. St. John Parishioners can also register to ride our bus from the church parking lot departing at 8 a.m. on Friday, November 24. All faiths and ages are welcome. Children should be accompanied by their parent.
