Boy Scout Troop 899 is for young men from 6th grade through 18 years old from all around Plum.
Boy Scout Troop 899 is centered on the Scout Law that a Boy Scout strives to uphold everyday: A Boy Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
Boy Scout Troop 899 helps young men reach their full potential. Troop 899 has helped many young men attain the rank of Eagle Scout during the past 50 years.
Boy Scout Troop 899 is very active. Troop 899 camps on a monthly basis year round, participates in First Aid Meets, service projects and each Boy Scout works on the various 120 merit badges that are available. The merit badges include areas of study such as swimming, railroading, emergency preparedness and fishing just to name a few. Several Boy Scouts from Troop 899 have also attended Boy Scout National Jamborees, went on Philmont Hike in New Mexico, attended Sea Base in Florida and attended World Scout Jamborees abroad.
