Saint John the Baptist Catholic School Advisory Council

The Saint John the Baptist School Advisory Council is called together by God to share their gifts and talents in a very special way.  The members are concerned with all matters  of St. John the Baptist School; especially those outlined in the council's by-laws.  They undertake programs which strive to continually improve the education, training, participation and spiritual growth for all members of the school community.  All members share the responsibility of providing for the educational needs of the school.

The school Advisory Council does not have the power to enact policy, but exists to offer advice, guidance, and support to the principal in specific areas.  Such advice and assistance are especially encouraged in the areas of long-range planning and public relations, finances and fundraising, technology, and the strengthening of parental and community support for the school.  The Advisory Council does not deal with issues such as curriculum, teacher salaries and positions, or contract negotiations.
