J.O.B. (Joy Of Belonging)

The "Joy Of Belonging" is the parish bereavement support group.  Anyone grieving the loss of a loved one is encouraged to come to this support group.  The meetings offer a "safe" place to grieve while one struggles to make adjustments with the void in his or her life.  Laughter is no stranger to the meetings as love and concern is shared by all.  Meetings are the third Tuesday evening of each month.

Q:  What skills and talents are needed? 

A:  Only the desire to assist others in their time of loss.

Q:  What is the time commitment? 

A:  The group meets once a month, but the team meets at least one other time each month to plan programs.

Q:  How does this ministry affect others? 

A:  The response is varied.  Some people come once or twice and usually feel that they have received the support they need and want to go on with their lives.  Some come back to help support others.
