Prayer for Pittsburgh Seminarians

Dearest Heavenly Father,

the Church founded upon the faith of the apostles,

the blood of the holy martyrs and the witness of the saints,

leads all believers

from our earthly pilgrimage to our heavenly home.

Through the Priesthood of your Son,

the faithful receive and participate in the mysteries

of salvation by Word and Sacrament.

You call some men to serve the

Church as priests to be the stewards and

servants of the Gospel.

We pray for the seminarians of Pittsburgh

who, by a great act of faith,

are discerning your Providential Call

to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ.

May they be open to your will

and respond graciously and generously

to the needs of the Church.

May our diocesan family continue to receive your blessings

as we advance the cause of the Gospel

and manifest your Kingdom in all we say and do.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
